Welcome to the career site of Danish Refugee Council (DRC) at UNjobfinder!
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-profit organisation founded in 1956 that works in more than 30 countries throughout the world.
DRC fulfils its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations – refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs) and host communities in the conflict areas of the world; and by advocating on behalf of conflict-affected populations internationally, and in Denmark, on the basis of humanitarian principles and the Human Rights Declaration.
DRC understand "durable solutions" as any means by which the situation of refugees can be permanently and satisfactorily resolved, enabling them to live normal lives. Durable solutions can be voluntary repatriation, local integration or resettlement. In Denmark, DRC assists refugees in all aspects of integration as well as asylum procedures. Internationally, DRC actively participates in supporting the protection of refugees, and promoting durable solutions for conflict-affected populations.
Careers at The Danish Refugee Council (DRC)
“No displaced person must be without help when it comes to finding protection and durable solutions.”
This is the vision of the Danish Refugee Council. If you want to be a part of realising this vision, DRC will be happy to receive your application. They are always looking for skilled people interested in sharing their many tasks.
In DRC everybody works toward the same goal but the course of a typical working day for each individual employee naturally depends on tasks and – not least – whether he or she works in Copenhagen or in e.g. Darfur, Sudan. Multifarious tasks in Denmark and international programmes in approximately 30 countries around the world make DRC an interesting and challenging work place.
Less than 5% of DRC positions are filled with international expats. Expat positions include Project and Programme Managers, Finance and Administration Managers and Country Directors, and experts, e.g. WatSan, Livelihood, Protection and Advocacy, and Legal.
DRC only receive applications via their online-application form. This also applies to their Stand-by Roster and unsolicited applications respectively.
Most of DRC's positions are recruited locally and will only be advertised locally. Please note that applications to local positions as a general rule are to be sent to our local office and not to HQ.
