ABOUT THE ROLE

The urgent human rights issues in the Europe and Central Asia region are hugely varied and demand creative campaigns that are well-researched, well-planned and well-managed despite the time pressures that surround them.

An expert in all aspects of digital campaigning you will guide and contribute to Amnesty's campaign development and implementation always aiming to maximise Amnesty's impact in the Europe and Central Asia region.

At every stage you will collaborate with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure Amnesty's campaigns are innovative, impactful and fully integrated in the digital space.

JOB PURPOSE

Create compelling and strategic campaign actions, supporter acquisition plans and supporter journeys across a range of digital properties for Europe and Central Asia, global and multilingual audiences, coordinate digital campaigning by Amnesty International sections in the Europe and Central Asia region.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement innovative digital campaigning plans, that align with the wider campaign strategy, across a range of digital properties, ensuring campaigns identify and take advantage of opportunities and lead to measurable change.
  • Coordinate digital action planning and ensure consistency with campaigning standards and optimal use of resources.
  • Work with regional Communications Managers & Senior Campaigners to create plans and deliver content across digital properties owned and operated by AI and third parties related to campaigns and actions.
  • Conduct audience analysis and social listening to make evidence based recommendations for digital campaign development, actions and ongoing work in pursuit of campaign goals.
  • Draft, review and advise on campaign materials for internal and external use ensuring products are coherent within the campaign strategy, input into the communication of campaign messages to target audiences effectively and lead to measurable action by these targets.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge and experience of developing, delivering and managing specialized digital activism plans for campaigning.
  • Knowledge and experience of campaigning and activism: knowledge of campaigning methods and tactics and a good understanding of what motivates people to take action. Understanding of security and protection issues related to digital campaigning and activism. Demonstrated understanding of ethical principles when sharing individuals' stories in a digital environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of digital marketing techniques, user testing and the ability to identify new digital marketing opportunities to drive engagement.
  • Experience of monitoring and reporting on digital campaigns/actions. Proven ability to derive actionable insights from analytics around conversion, traffic funnelling, etc.
