If you are a committed, creative professional and are passionate about making a lasting difference for children, the world's leading children's rights organization would like to hear from you.

For 70 years, UNICEF has been working on the ground in 190 countries and territories to promote children's survival, protection and development. The world's largest provider of vaccines for developing countries, UNICEF supports child health and nutrition, good water and sanitation, quality basic education for all boys and girls, and the protection of children from violence, exploitation, and AIDS. UNICEF is funded entirely by the voluntary contributions of individuals, businesses, foundations and governments.

BACKGROUND

Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras & Panama CO's initiated in January 2016 a joint consultancy managed by RSC PFP LACRO. These CO's have an aligned strategic plan for Corporate Fundraising (CFR) with a total potential estimated in the range of US$ 3 to 17 million annually.

The development of this Corporate Fundraising model has been based on optimizing the market potential and also giving priority to the companies with multi country alliance (MCA) or regional potential. This strategy will allow to raise funds locally to fill part of the funding gaps in the CO's CPD. The regional perspective is to be inclusive and consider the potential of all CO's in the region for optimizing a fundraising operation focused on cost-effective opportunities. We have assessed potential based on the global UNICEF experience.

During the LACRO PFP Workshop held in Bogota in October 2016, an evaluation of the development of the project was done by RSC, CO Representatives/Focal Points and Geneva colleagues. The participating COs and the rest of the formerly named non-PSFR CO stated their need to fundraise locally and to be part of the initiative to explore their potential. The agreement was to continue for another full year to complete a two-year cycle of the model in order to evaluate results. The efficiency of the model is to have pooled services within the region in order to service the areas needed by each country according to their maturity in fundraising operations.
