Expected duration
• Type of Appointment: Full time internship / 37.5 hours a week • Duration: 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of renewal • Expected Starting Date: December 2024
Duties and Responsibilities
• Consolidates and analyze data on activities achieved by frontline staff to facilitate the preparation of periodic reports, (i.e., Monthly reports) and assist in identifying needs and/or gaps, as required. • Designs spreadsheets and/or brochures. • Assists in creating SOPs related to the use of Activity Info database or other. • Overseeing reporting and data quality on Activity Info, in an accurate and timely manner. • Provides regular achievements reports using Power BI. • Designs household visit forms or other survey forms on Activity Info to better respond to Palestinian Refugees from Syria’s needs. • Provides feedback on data quality and, in close cooperation with the Deputy Chief RSSP and Field Relief and Social Services Officer, supports RSSP teams in addressing gaps in quality assurance. • works closely with the RSSP staff to gather accurate data about refugees and assistance activities and provide comparative analysis. • Drafts narrative and financial reports on contributions, in compliance with specific donor requirements • Performs any other duties as may be required such as: • Business research and analysis, including financial analysis. • Participation in client engagements, reporting to engagement managers. • Preparation of underlying materials, leading/participation in workshops
Qualifications/special skills
Education: • University degree from an accredited educational institution in Data science, Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related field. • Demonstrated familiarity with digital data gathering software packages (Activity info, Kobo ToolBox, or similar), data visualization tools (Microsoft PowerBI, or similar), and data analysis software (Stata, SPSS, R, or similar). Work Experience: • Minimum 3 years of experience in Reporting and Data Analysis. Required experience in data administration, preferably on Activity Info database Required qualifications: • University education (Bachelor’s degree) • Experience in the domain of data analysis/consulting/advisory is an advantage. • Logical and systematic approach to solving analytical tasks. • Communication and presentation skills (verbal & non-verbal). • Advanced English communication skills. • Advanced MS Office knowledge (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word). • Ability to express and present own opinion, objective argumentation skills. • Ability to work independently. • Active approach to solving assigned tasks. • Ability to work in a team and to work under stress. • Diligence, punctuality, a systematic responsible approach. • A willingness to invest time in its own knowledge and competencies. Desirable qualification: • Proven English drafting and editing skills. • Excellent command of English and another relevant UN language (written, oral, comprehension) and highly developed drafting skills • Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential). Competencies: • Advanced level of Reporting skills. • Manage priorities and accomplish tasks in a timely manner, with a high level of independence and discretion • Communication skills. • Think through all aspects relating to issues or problems; identify, recommend and implement solutions
Languages
• Excellent command of spoken and written English, Arabic Language is an asset.

BACKGROUND Through the ongoing development, maintenance and administration of Palestinian Refugees from Syria (PRS) database (activity info.), and the Palestine Refugees Registration database (RRIS), there is an increasing need to design, generate specialized reports and dashboards, reviewing and analyzing data, responding to end-user requests for specialized reports or information, and extensively work with downloaded data received from other sources, and assessing information and reporting needs.
