Korean nationals are in demand by many International Organizations
International organizations aim to secure diversity within their workforce and fairly recruit qualified applicants, irrespective of gender, nationality, disabilities, sexual orientation, culture, and religious and ethnical backgrounds. The term 'Quota' is commonly used to keep track of the diversity. For a specific country, the quota equals the number of staff they should have to reach a fair representation.
A country's representation is calculated in different ways in different organizations, but in most cases, the foundation for the calculation is the country's financial contribution and population size.
Korea has a population of approximately 52 million people. Over the past decades, Korea has been at the forefront of high technological innovations. The population is highly educated. Korea has been an increasingly important player in the international arena, and its contribution to international and multilateral organizations constantly increases.
For many organizations, the increase in financial contribution from Korea has made the under-representation of Korean nationals problematic. Hence, for you as a Korean national, now is the time to make your international career dream come true. I have listed four jobs below, but please register for our upcoming events. That is a great chance to meet with a recruiter, build a network, and ask the questions you have on your mind. If I were Korean myself, I would pay a visit to the OECD's booth...
