Join the Virtual Career Fairs tailored to different regions and time-zones worldwide, offering an insider's perspective on the World Bank Group Young Professionals Program (YPP). The World Bank Group is one of the world’s largest sources of funding and knowledge for developing countries, working towards ending poverty on a livable planet.

Through the YPP, the World Bank Group – the World Bank, IFC and MIGA – selects top talent to advance its mission. Nearly a thousand YPP alumni work at the World Bank Group today. They work across a wide range of sectors and technical streams – from A to W: Agriculture to Water – and on every work program in between.

If you are 32 or younger (born on or after October 1, 1992), with an advanced degree, depth of expertise and at least 4 years of experience relevant to one of the World Bank Group’s work programs, and looking for an unparalleled opportunity to learn, grow, lead, and have meaningful impact towards a world free of poverty on a livable planet, we invite you to apply to join the World Bank Group through the YPP. How you can prepare for 1-to-1 chats

This is your opportunity to learn more about the program and ask questions that are relevant to you.  To get the most out of the chat please observe the following:

  • Know what you want to talk about - this will allow you to have an in-depth discussion that will be focused and to the point, as you will have 5 minutes in the chat

  • Come prepared: we recommend looking at the organization’s page beforehand. Make sure you mention which of the work programs you fit in (please review the work programs on the YPP webpage

  • The chats are not meant to validate your eligibility for the YPP or a work program with the YPP representative - for the eligibility requirements and expectations please refer to the YPP page

  • The chats are meant to have a more in-depth look at your resume and potential future professional development. Make sure you spend this time as efficiently as possible.

Who should attend?

The World Bank Group’s Young Professionals Program (YPP) engages global talent with distinctive technical skills and diverse backgrounds to work across the World Bank, MIGA, and IFC towards a world free of poverty on a livable planet. Selection criteria includes, but are not limited to:

  • Date of birth on or after October 1, 1992

  • Nationality of a World Bank Group member country

  • At least four (4) years of relevant professional experience following undergraduate studies

  • Completion of a masters-level degree or equivalent in a relevant field, or a higher qualification in a relevant field, before September 1, 2025. If pursuing a doctorate, full-time doctoral research studies in a relevant field at an accredited institution may count towards the required work experience, and the degree must be substantially complete with all the written work submitted before September 1, 2025

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English language (fluency in other languages might be advantageous to your application)
