Job vacancies at Acting for Life

WHO ARE WE?

Acting for Life is a French international solidarity organization, founded in 1973, which works for the territorial economic and social development of vulnerable populations. For nearly 50 years, it has pursued the same objective: to fight against poverty thanks to the emergence of local organizations responding to the challenges of exclusion in West Africa and Latin America.

The NGO Acting for Life and its 55 local partners act to enable more than one million people each year to be able to live with dignity from their work on their land.  Discover the latest activity and financial report of the association

HOW DO WE ACT?

The NGO Acting for Life has designed and implemented an original and rigorous operating mode, based on a global partnership approach for the development of territorial economic and social development projects. It translates into 5 main steps:

1.TERRITORIAL DIAGNOSIS AND IDENTIFICATION OF NEEDS

on a sector or a sector of activity, on the level of education and professional training or on the access of populations to public services.

2. DIAGNOSIS AND IDENTIFICATION OF LOCAL PARTNERS

to allow the choice of relevant local partners involved at each stage of the preparation of the co-constructed project.

3. CONSTRUCTION OF INNOVATIVE PILOT PROJECTS

to assess the relevance of the action, its viability and the capacity of the actors to mobilize locally and potentially develop programs on a larger scale.

4. ACCOMPANIMENT TOWARDS EMPOWERMENT

local partners with technical, administrative and financial support through regular field missions.

5. INDEPENDENT EVALUATION OF PROJECTS AND CAPITALIZATION

to disseminate field experiences for the benefit of all international development actors.
