The Council of Europe, headquartered in Strasbourg, France, is the continent’s leading human rights organisation, with 46 member countries. Founded on 5 May 1949, the Council of Europe seeks to develop throughout Europe common and democratic principles rooted in the European Convention on Human Rights and other reference texts on the protection of individuals.
As a multicultural organisation, we strive towards protecting human rights, democracy and the rule of law and our three core values - professionalism, integrity and respect - guide the way we work.
The European Court of Human Rights and the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare are entities of the Council of Europe. They play crucial roles in respectively upholding human rights standards and ensuring the highest quality of medical care across the continent.
We are looking to recruit talented professionals, from diverse backgrounds who share our vision and our core values and who will be conducting interesting and meaningful work which makes a real difference to people’s lives throughout greater Europe. We offer a competitive tax-free remuneration and benefits package, opportunity to telework, holidays, wellbeing and work-life balance, as well as the chance to live in one of Europe’s most pleasant cities.
