A great advancement in health is that it’s become more mainstream for patients, their families and communities to be included in decisions about health.
What we haven’t been able to do as a sector is ensure that engagement is always meaningful, sustainable, and respects the time and energy that people give us.
So we need to reflect on why community engagement is needed and be clear about this.
