Workforce Diversity - a Virtual Career Fair for African Nationals

This April, Impactpool is hosting a career event focused to support our partner organizations that seek to diversify their workforce.

A 5-hour online event curated for African professionals with work experience in sustainable development, humanitarian response, or any related field. This is a unique career opportunity to interact in live sessions with HR representatives, apply for job vacancies and engage in one-on-one chats with recruiters. 

Sign up for an event profile and request to participate - to engage with HR recruiters from these influential multilateral organizations - the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance.

It is widely recognized that the development and humanitarian sector struggles to attract diverse talent. Many organizations recruit from the same schools and networks that lack significant racial and ethnic diversity. Tapping into talent from low-income and marginalized communities is one step towards a truly diverse workforce.

Who should attend? Mid to senior-level candidates, with at least 3 years of work experience, pursuing a career with a positive impact. Candidates currently working or seeking to work in Multilateral Development Organizations and International NGOs. 

Essential criteria to join this career event for African Nationals:

  • 3+ years of relevant international work experience
  • A Post-Graduate degree (Bachelors considered with more experience)
  • Multi-lingual (English, French, Arabic, Spanish)
  • an African national (if you have dual-nationality, please enter your qualifying nationality)
  • Please ensure you submit your CV in English when registering.

As the name suggests, this Impactpool Virtual Career Fair will take place entirely online. Join us on Thursday 27th of April and take advantage of this unique opportunity to engage directly in 1-to-1 text-based, audio, and video chats with HR representatives from the attending organizations. The virtual booths will be equipped with live sessions, where the attending organizations will present various workshops and presentations.
