Green Climate Fund internship program is open to Masters or PhD-level students or for those who recently graduated.

The program provides a unique learning opportunity for students and recent graduates from diverse academic backgrounds. They encourage qualified people, in particular, nationals of developing countries with diverse professional, academic, and cultural backgrounds to apply.

The program is designed for talented and motivated individuals skilled in areas relevant to GCF's operations and provides a USD 1,000 per month allowance to all interns. The program allows selected candidates to gain insight into the work of the Fund and provides assistance and training in various professional fields in a multicultural environment.

To be eligible for an internship, candidates must:

  • Be enrolled in a Master's or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate

  • Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to the Fund's work

  • Possess an excellent command of English

Selection Process

The GCF Internship is a 6-month program. Recruitment for these internships may happen twice a year based on the Fund’s needs. Considering the current COVID-19 pandemic, recruitment drives may largely be done through local universities or institutions in South Korea. Nevertheless, we still aim to attract candidates from diverse backgrounds and nationalities. Applications should be submitted through our career site where we also offer application tips and where you will find some frequently asked questions about GCF’s recruitment process. Only selected candidates will hear back from us throughout the recruitment process.
