Gavi is committed to securing a global response to COVID-19 that is effective and fair. Since 2021, two multi-million-dollar funding windows (Covid 19 Delivery Support) have been established to support COVID-19 vaccine delivery and in July 2022 a third funding window was launched to further support for vaccine delivery and scale up and accelerate coverage of vaccinations of high and highest risk populations, as well as increasing adult vaccination coverage amongst the AMC 92 countries.
Gavi’s COVID-19 Vaccine Delivery, Coordination and Integration team is looking for an intern to support CDS programmatic qualitative assessments and to support Strategic Liaisons and Country Teams in facilitating vaccine demand and delivery related work.
 

•    Collect and synthesize CDS programmatic reports from countries;
•    Contribute to qualitative assessment of impact of CDS investments; 
•    Gathering lessons learnt from CDS implementation;
•    Support Strategic Liaisons and Country Teams in facilitating vaccine demand and delivery related work across Gavi 57 countries;
•    Proactive identification and addressing of issues, risks and improvement opportunities related to reporting;
•    Productive collaborations with relevant Gavi Secretariat colleagues and country and partner agency counterparts, as applicable.
 
•    Excellent Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets;
•    Ability to convert raw data into impactful reports and data visualisation; 
•    Knowledge of qualitative research methods is an asset;
•    Interpersonal and teamwork skills; diplomacy and tact;
•    Capacity and willingness to work remotely;
•    Computer skills, including internet navigation and various office applications; 
•    Ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish working relationships with multiple teams;
•    Experience in public health through academic work or research will be a plus.
•    Written and spoken fluency English is essential;
•    Fluency in French is a plus. 
•    University degree (master’s an asset) in health, public or business administration, social sciences, or other relevant field or equivalent, related training or experience.

Stipends are available. Interns are expected to be interning on a full-time basis.
