Result of Service

• Finalized curricula for three phase 2 target populations: D-1 and above, P-4/P-5, and P-3 and below.
• Updated and expanded course materials for all three iterations of the programme.
• Curricula and supporting materials for summary workshop series.
• Successful launch of the second round of the Peer Coaching Network, with support provided to all participants (coaches and coachees) through offices hours and dedicated 1:1 support.
• Delivery of up to 3 inter-cohort gatherings and/or booster workshops for programme graduates.
• Facilitation of OSCM leadership team retreat in February 2022 and up to six follow up team coaching sessions as designed with the team.
• 360-degree feedback assessment 1:1 debriefs for new members of the senior leadership team, as needed.

Expected duration

The timeline for this consultancy is three months of work (expected duration to complete all deliverables) over a period of four months to account for delays and time off.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Curriculum design

• Design curriculum revisions and customizations for all three modules of the OSCM Leadership Development Programme, including tailoring the programme for the new population who will participate in the programme in 2022.
• Develop course materials, such as timelines, workbooks, resource guides, and pre- and post-learning assessments.
• Design workshop series with core concepts for all OSCM personnel who will not directly participate in the programme in 2022.
• Provide expert advice and direction on the conversion of the curriculum to an online learning platform.

2. Graduate Support

• Support the growth of the OSCM Peer Coaching Network during its second launch in the first quarter of 2022 through direct support to coaches and/or coachees participating in the Network,
• Review and respond to feedback from PCN participants
• Designing future iterations of the PCN, including the potential expansion of the Network to include other offices and/or the wider Secretariat to increase access and application of skills learned in the OSCM leadership programme.
• Design and facilitate inter-cohort gatherings and/or “booster” workshops on thematic topics for graduates to enhance understanding and application.

3. Senior Leadership Team Coach/Facilitator

• Design team interventions for the OSCM senior leadership team, drawing on programme curricula and participant feedback, to enable senior leaders to be effective advocates for culture and behavior change throughout the pillar.
• Facilitate team coaching engagements and/or senior leadership retreats, as requested by the leadership team.
• Deliver 1:1 coaching and/or 360-degree feedback assessment debrief sessions to OSCM senior leaders, as requested.

Qualifications/special skills

Academic Qualifications: Masters Degree in organizational development, organizational psychology, public/business administration, or related field is required. A first level degree with relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
Experience: • 10 years of experience in the area of leadership development, coaching, organizational development, facilitation, instructional design or related field is required.
• Experience in 1:1 and systems coaching (team and/or group) is required. Experience coaching in a multinational organizational setting is desirable.
• Experience in leadership development, group facilitation, and curriculum design is required.
• Certified interpreter of the Leadership Circle Profile is required.
• Deeply held understanding of the Leadership Circle Model is required, including practical experience applying this model to oneself as well as with coaching clients.
• Deeply held understanding of systemic coaching practice, including practical experience coaching teams and/or facilitating groups through a systems lens is required. Training in Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching or similar is desirable.
• Exceptional intercultural competence is required. Experience working with the United Nations system and/or the international humanitarian and/or development space is desirable. Ability to bring non-western perspectives in the area of coaching and leadership development is desirable.
• Experience supporting large-scale organizational culture change initiatives is desirable.
Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the
position advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another United Nations
official language is desirable.
