ProjectBudget andCompliance (PBC) Analyst TheInternationalPotatoCenter(CIP)islooking for a dynamicPBC Analystwithexcellentorganizational skills toprovide support tothe Financedepartment.

About the role

Overseetheprojectaccountingtoassurecompliancewiththetermsofthedonor agreementinrelation toapprovals,eligibilityandallowabilityof costs.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform donor financial eligibility checks, prepare budgets and other corresponding documentfor donor’s proposals, andfinancial clearanceofnewagreements,aspartofthe Pre-Awardcycle.

• Ensure thatall donor relatedinformationis disseminatedtoproject and, therefore,abide by donor rulesandregulations.

• Monitor compliance in the projects, including project audit reports, general financial and contractsissues relatedtoprojects andprovide support whenrequired. • Prepareandsubmittimelyandaccuratedonorreports(W1&W2,W3andBilateralFunding) requesting the necessary invoices. Stay current with donor regulations and the award requirements identified in the CIP compliance matrix, to prepare accurate and timely reports.

• Maintain all applicable project records and files in accordance with internal controls, demonstratingcompliancewithdonor requirements.

• Support the projectscloseout processes.

• Train country offices and Principal Investigatorsin budget preparation, monitoring and donor compliance.

• Periodicallyupdatespolicies andproceduresrelatedtobudgetspreparation. • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure proper recording of expenses in the system andaccuratefinancialreporting.

• Responsible for preparing monthly internal financial reports which must review and perform an analysis to ensure a correct use of the approved budget against the actual implementationtoguaranteethecorrectuse of funds alignedtothe approvedwork plan, data accuracy,avoid cost overruns throughout the life of the project portfolio and work closely withother areasinvolved to provide solutions or support which would lead to a correctuse of thebudgetandimplementation.

What arewe lookingfor?

• Bachelor’s degree from Finance and Administration or related careers (Accounting, Economy,Administration/Management,IndustrialEngineering,orrelatedfields). • Atleast 3 yearsof experiencerequiredatleast atinternshiplevel. • ExperienceinFinance or Projectmanagementisa plus.

• knowledgeof accountingconcepts.

• Knowledgeof theinternationaldevelopmentfunding (Desirable)

• Strong written and spoken skills, capacity to communicate at different levels and audiences.

• Result oriented.

• Organizedandmethodic. • Proficientin MSOffice,especially inExcel • Intermediate/AdvancedlevelinEnglish.
