Community Education Coordinator - Norwich
Location:
Norwich, Norfolk - travel to schools and other educational venues**
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Fixed-term (6 months until 30th June) with potential to extend.
Salary: **£20501 - £22,429 per annum

Could you ensure our community education service is delivered effectively, consistently, and exceeds quality standards?
We are looking for a Community Education Coordinator to join our team at the British Red Cross. You will be managing the allocation of resources and volunteers in the area to increase the British Red Cross geographical footprint and capacity within communities.
Reporting to the Community Education Manager, you will manage community external partnerships and relationships, and support the implementation of partnerships and externally funded projects.
You will also have accountability for all aspects of the Community Education blended learning offer for your area and will ensure the education delivery is consistent and at the appropriate quality standard
This is a great opportunity to make a real impact, through facilitated learning to adults an d young people. You will be helping us better equip thousands of people to cope and take action in the event of a crisis.

Please note that whilst the core hours for this role are 9am to 5pm Monday - Friday, some flexibility will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.

We want everyone in the UK to have the opportunity to learn first aid/education, and identified risk groups to have the skills and confidence to be able to cope in a crisis, so they can help themselves and others

This role might be for you if …

  • You've got a recognised education, training or facilitation qualification (or equivalent by experience) and excellent coaching and motivational skills

  • You've got experience of recruiting, selecting, managing, and supporting volunteers

  • You've got experience of facilitated learning and adapting nationally approved learning content to meet user needs
