Org. Setting and Reporting

The Reporting and Analytics Officer reports to the HR Workforce Planning & Data Analytics Officer. The incumbent is assigned to strengthening Humanitarian Principles (HP) initiative.

Responsibilities

- Supports the Department of Internal Oversight Services (DIOS) and Department of Information Management and Technology (DIMT), in implementing an end-to-end case management system; this includes:
- Acting as a liaison between HR and IT for all matters related to system implementation;
- Analyzing the existing Disciplinary Database System in consultation with the human resources administrative law
team;
- Integrating the human resources Disciplinary Database system with the DIOS’ case management system, and
ensuring that all HR business requirements are met;
- Analyzing data to ensure that data stored in both systems is accurate and reconciled; coordinating data
cleansing where needed;

- Leads HR user testing for Field and HQ offices, including development of training material for the new system;
- Provides tools (for HR purposes) for data analysis related to humanitarian principles, including the implementation of the Disciplinary Dashboard in Fields and HQ Offices;
- Supports the development of HR dashboards, including drafting of user manuals, training material and related policies/ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
- Develops HR related training material for the new system and dashboards; trains relevant stakeholders on the use of dashboards and other related systems and processes related to the roll out of the integrated case management system.

Education

A university degree from an accredited educational institution in human resources management, data analytics, business or public administration or a related field;

Work Experience

At least six years of progressively responsible relevant experience in human resources management, business analytics and designing and implementing monitoring dashboards;

Good knowledge of HR business processes, practices and procedures, with background in information technology-human resources projects and services;

Good knowledge of data reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI or other similar tools;

A minimum of 2 continuous years of relevant international experience outside UNRWA, and outside the country(s) of which the candidate is a national or holds citizenship, a passport or a national identity number.

Languages

Excellent command of spoken and written English.

Assessment

Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.

Special Notice

Type of Contract and Duration: Temporary Appointment for 6 months with the possibility of further extension subject to availability of funds, need and performance.

Within the framework of the Inter-Agency Mobility Agreement, UNRWA will seek to engage staff members from other UN entities under this framework, should they be found suitable for this Temporary Appointment.
