The position will directly interface with the AMISOM Support Project Operations Team & the Training & Mentoring Contractor. |
Key competencies |
Education: - Advanced University Degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) in Electronics, Communications, Data Processing Management or a related subject with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR - First Level University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent) in Electronics, Communications, Data processing Management or a related subject with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR - Military Experience at the Officer level or Warrant Officer/Senior NCO (Non Commissioned Officer) with a minimum of 11 years of relevant experience. Experience: - Relevant experience is defined as experience in Electronics, Data Management or other related subjects. - 5 years of experience as an ECM System Operator or an ECM System Maintenance Technician is required. - Previous work experience in a demanding operational & high risk environment is required. - Experience working in a peacekeeping mission is desired. - Proven detailed knowledge of worldwide terrorist tactics & preferably within in the Africa context. - Proven experience of Quality Management Systems is required. - Training & advisory experience required. - Project management qualification or experience is desired. - Internationally recognized driving license. - Knowledge of UN systems & procedures is desirable. - Computer literacy is required. Language: - Fluency in English (reading, writing & speaking) is required. - Knowledge of another UN official language is desired.
