Context:

NRC has set the ambition to become a leader in the use of data and technology to deliver better. A fundamental component of our Digital Transformation ambition is the improvement of the support processes delivery via the use of technology and enterprise-wide solutions.  Towards this, we have recently adopted the Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) system we are calling NRC People.  The HR Management System (HRMS) Unit in NRC is tasked with the effective operation, user support and development of the NRC People and the Unit includes the Global Help Desk and country support, System Configuration and Maintenance and Adoption functions.

About the role:

The HRMS Help Desk Coordinators constitute the Global Help Desk and Country support.  The role is to respond to and resolve the Global HR Help Desk service tickets; support the Configuration and Maintenance team to ensure system GDPR compliance; and act as an interface between NRC country and regional offices and global HR functions. In addition, they support the NRC People project with the implementation of new modules, to ensure a secure transition into operations and maintenance.

Duties and responsibilities:

The HRMS Help Desk Coordinator is the expert operator of NRC People. S/he will contribute to the successful operations of HR management system as specified below:

  • Ensure that the HR first line support gets timely and effective service support and follow-up.
  • Analyse, diagnose and resolve complex technical Line 2 support issues related to NRC People, or formulate and reroute issues as needed to Line 3.
  • Support training and capacity building of the NRC People Regional & Country Focal Points in NRC People support.
  • Support adoption of NRC People Operations in cooperation with Process Owners and Focal Points.
  • Document solutions to common issues/problems available in Oracle Guided Learning.
  • Support the testing and implementing HCM Cloud quarterly updates in cooperation with stakeholders and communicate system changes to relevant staff.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic planning, development, and maintenance of NRC People.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives on recurring support needs.

Qualifications:

  • Documented relevant work experience with HR processes with cloud solutions (SAAS)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (ICT, HCM, HR, etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is a must (those with additional Spanish language skills will be prioritized); 
  • Aptitude for continuous improvement of HR systems, service-delivery and working environment;
  • Proven record of setting delivery commitments and meeting expectations;
  • Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines.
