Scope of work:  The Nutrition Manager will be responsible for technical oversight and support on nutrition and Social Behavior Change Communication components of IRC’s Kayah Integrated Nutrition (KIN) Project focusing on Nutrition and WASH promotion in Kayah State. In addition, responsible as technical focal for technical collaboration and capacity building of local partner organizations. Represent IRC as technical focal and technical collaboration with donor, fund management offices and counterpart ministries of Myanmar at different levels. Responsible for the technical capacity building and performance quality control of KIN nutrition project staffs. Responsible as Technical assistant to Project Coordinator for roll out of necessary project assessments and survey. Assisting Project Coordinator on designing and reporting, administrating of project, and communicating with different internal and external stakeholders of project. The Nutrition Manager reports directly to Project Coordinator and supervises maximum 12 project staff.

Responsibilities:

I.Technical and Project Management

  • Oversight and provide technical support to IRC and partners organization in implementation of nutrition promotion, SBCC and integrated management of malnutrition (IMAM) activities.
  • Design, review and roll out the Nutrition-WASH SBCC modules and nutrition promotion modules for capacity building of project staff both IRC and partner and community volunteers.
  • Responsible for supporting and documentation of Nutrition-WASH SBCC action in communities in coordination with Senior WASH manager and WASH manager.
  • Capacity building of IRC and partners organization staffs on technical thematic of nutrition, SBCC and integrated management of malnutrition.
  • Support and work together with M&E manager for quality control of project M&E mechanism and database management.
  • Develop annual work plan and then ensure to complete targeted work plan on time and quality fully and report timely to the Project Coordinator.
  • Responsible for managing nutrition and SBCC component’s budget.
  • Produce budget spending plan and monitor the budget expenditure through BvA system and make sure the expenses are in accordance with the policies and procedure of IRC and donor.
  • Coordinate and work as necessary with relevant IRC Technical Advisors (Nutrition) to align technical standard of project service be with IRC global standard and Myanmar specific standards practicing by counterpart ministries.
  • Participate in any other responsibilities as required by Project Coordinator.

II.Reporting and Documentation

  • Draft all donor Nutrition narrative reports and monthly situation updates for review by the  Project Coordinator.
  • Ensure that all reports required by the donor, IRC and government are produced on time and are of a consistently high quality
  • Ensure the timely submission of all deliverables to the Project Coordinator, including annual work plans and project reports.
  • Assisting Project Coordinator to initiate and organize preparation of proposal and project report to donor.

III.Team management

  • Manage and supervise a team of 12 project staff.
  • Conduct annual evaluation of project staff and set their annual performance targets.
  • Provide appropriate and timely feedback regarding staff annual performance objectives and assist them in objective setting.
  • Assist in the recruitment of project staffs and leads project orientation for new staffs.

IV. Coordination and Representation

  • Technical communication and coordination with respective partner organizations, donors and respective counterpart ministries at different levels (MoHS, DSW-MSWRR, GAD).
  • When so requested by the Project Coordinator, support the representation the Nutrition and SBCC components of the project to Community, Local Authorities, the LIFT Fund Management Unit and other donors
  • Liaise with the KIN project consortium partner organizations as deemed necessary by the Project Coordinator.
