Are you ready for SAVING LIVES CHANGING LIVES of the world's most vulnerable people?
If yes, this opportunity is for you!

ABOUT WFP

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is a leading organization delivering food assistance and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. We also support governments of developing countries in their efforts to eliminate hunger and malnutrition by addressing the underlying causes and disparities in access to food and good nutrition to ensure that no one is left behind in line with the Agenda 2030, Sustaining Peace and Agenda for Humanity. WFP is particularly focused on Goals 2 (Zero Hunger) and 17 (Partnerships).

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

WFP’s Pacific MCO supports Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICT) primarily through the UN Cluster System and other regional partnerships. In line with WFP's upcoming Multi-Country Strategic Plan (MCSP) 2023-27 process for the Pacific, and with new demands bought by COVID-19, WFP is seeking a range of technical experts to undertake analyses to strengthen WFP’s support to Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICT).

Consultancies will be home-based. WFP is seeking both local and international consultants for these roles. Applicants should have experience working in the Pacific region and understand WFP’s role in supporting capacity building and technical assistance to government and civil society counterparts across the region.

Please note that this is a call for interest, and not a consultancy posting. The Pacific MCO is compiling a talent pool of expert consultants for a variety of subject areas of focus. When consultancies for the Pacific MCO arise, WFP will review the consultant’s talent pool first for suitable candidates. Consultants may be contacted for specific projects throughout the year. Remuneration will be commensurate with candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skills as well as the nature of the assignment in terms of its responsibilities and complexities; and the degree of specialization required.
