Partnership Developer

Vi Agroforestry and We Effect are now recruiting a "Partnership Developer". This position is part of the Marketing Department in Vi Agroforestry based in Stockholm.

Vi Agroforestry is a Swedish development cooperation organisation, fighting poverty and working with sustainable agriculture and land management through agroforestry. Our vision is a sustainable environment that enables women and men living in poverty to improve their lives. We do this together with small-holder farming families and farmers’ organisations in four countries: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda. Agroforestry provides increased access to food, access to sustainable energy sources and an increased income. Agroforestry also contributes to the mitigation of climate change and protects against the negative effects of climate change. Vi Agroforestry also work with carbon offset for the benefit of the farmers in the cooperation countries. Since its inception in 1983, Vi Agroforestry has planted over 134 million trees and in the last 10 years reached over 2,5 million people through education, advising and services.  ABOUT THE ROLE

We have high ambitions for our strategic partnerships. Together with our cooperative Member Organisations and the corporate sector in Sweden, we believe that we can positively impact people's lives and the environment through working even closer together. We are now looking for a “Partnership Developer” that will have a key role in developing and strengthening our partnerships to increase our corporate fundraising.

The employment is a temporary position for one year. Start date, as soon as possible. You will be part of the Marketing Department and empoyed by Vi Agroforestry but working for both Vi Agroforestry and We Effect and reporting to the Marketing Director.

Examples of tasks

Identify and initiate new corporate partnerships.

Develop and maintain partnerships with our current partner organisations.

Participate in our partners activities e.g., events and annual meetings.

Administration, e.g., budget responsibility, setting up contracts and invoice handling.

ABOUT YOU

In this position, you need to be creative and goal-oriented in a competitive and always-changing market. You have a great understanding of partnerships between sectors, the importance of relationship building and sales.

As a co-worker, you are a team player and enjoy collaborating with colleagues from different departments and you are used to working in an international setting. It is an advantage if you have professional experience working with companies and organisations within the civil society sector. Still, most importantly, you share We Effect's and Vi Agroforestry's vision of a just world free from poverty.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree within a relevant field.
• Experience working with B2B, sales or in a similar position.
• Experience in corporate partnerships.
• Experience working with budget responsibility.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English.

MERITS

• Experience working within the civil society sector.
• Knowledge or experience of working with corporate sustainability. 
• Knowledge in We Effect’s and Vi Agroforestry’s thematic areas or experience of working with the Sustainable Development Goals.
• Knowledge in additional languages.
