DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for over a decade, running a combination of emergency, livelihood, protection and advocacy programmes through Country Offices (COs) in Algeria, Libya/Tunisia, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey with a Regional Office (RO) in Amman. DRC has 17 offices and approximately one thousand staff members across the MENA region. Following an internal HQ restructuring, from 1st January 2018 the region is focusing on the Middle East, hence Algeria, Tunisia and Libya will transition to a new region during the course of 2018, while Yemen will join the Middle East region.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming visitors / Suppliers and beneficiaries to the office including inviting them to wait in the waiting areas, offering refreshments, ensuring promotion of beneficiary dignity.
  • Responsibility for Tender receiving. Ensure Bids are received correctly and guides Bidders to submit their offers in the right box as well as completing the clerk procedures related to bid submission and recipient.
  • Support Supply chain in archiving and scanning documents whenever is needed.
  • Coordinating with the guard as required to ensure visitors and beneficiary access to the office.
  • Ensure office is maintained by reporting any damage to the Supply chain department and follow up with handyman.
  • Report any shared office supply needs to the Supply Chain.
  • Report any cleaning needs to the cleaner and ensure in coordination with cleaner and other staff that the office remains clean, well-organized and aesthetically appealing.
  • Being as a gap filler for fleet once fleet officer go to field.
  • Following up with the guards and reporting any issues to safety officer.
  • Scanning and archiving documents.
  • Following the staff working hours for time in & out to share with Administration department.
  • Make sure to check the Guard CCTV system with the Guard and check all the Access.

  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Line Manager.
  • Conduct duties in accordance with DRC Iraq programs Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
  • Conduct duties in accordance with DRC Code of Conduct.

Experience and technical competencies: ()  

  • One years of experience in relevant work.
  • Arabic and Turkmen are required, English advance.
  • Strong inter-personal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a multicultural context as a flexible and respectful team player.
  • Hardworking attitude
  • Ability to learn quickly and take initiative.
  • Basic IT skills (computer knowledge)

Education:

High school diploma is essential

Languages:

Spoken and written Arabic and Turkmen is essential; English

We offer
Contract length: 7 months (with the possibility of extension)
Salary Band: I
Start date: May  23rd , 2021.
