UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is offering a full-time position within the Global Learning and Development Center¿ Leadership Development Section in Budapest, Hungary (or remote).
The selected candidate will have a close collaboration with the Steering Group of the PAN comprising the Director of Ethics, Ombudsman and Chief of Psychosocial Wellbeing Section.

Organisational context
The Global Learning and Development Centre (GLDC) of UNHCR has worked to mainstream the support for one of the biggest and most active networks in UNHCR, namely that of the Peer Advisors.
The Programme Management Support Officer (PAN Coordinator) is directly supervised by the Chief of Section, Leadership Development, in GLDC and as such is a fully-fledged member of the GLDC team ensuring that GLDC methodology and principles of work permeate all PAN learning initiatives.

The position
The coordinator will ensure suitable monitoring (for reporting and course adjustment purposes) including but not limited to the tracing of duty stations, contacts and activities, identification of learning and support needs and, consequently, providing (or organizing) support when needed or referring to the relevant office, collecting the reports and providing reports to the Steering Group on an bi-annual basis.
The coordinator will dedicate 100% of her/his time to the coordination of the Peer Advisors Network in UNHCR with its 350-450 members on average. That task includes designing the (virtual) training programme under content guidance of the Steering Group, organisation of virtual learning and continuous education activities, communication with the network members and generally ensuring a vibrant PAN community where advisors reach out to each other for help and for substantive discussions, among others.

Duties and responsibilities
- Coordinate, invigorate and facilitate the Peer Advisors Network with potentially 400 members ensuring their training and continuous education, support in their interventions and reporting.
- Conceptualize, design and develop virtual training programme(s) for Peer Advisors using as much content as possible from the existing face-to-face training.
- Facilitate Peer Advisor engagement, co-creation and sharing of learning content across the PAN and across CLDC, UNHCR when appropriate and relevant
- Maintain a list of members up to date with the help of MSRP.
- Establish the reporting tools for the PAN members, collect the reports twice a year and prepare the summary report for the Steering Group. Track the activities of the PAN members.
- Coordinate the steering group meetings and actively participate in strategic discussions pertaining to the PAN development.
- Proactively communicate with the country operation representatives and assist them in selection of the Peer Advisors.
- Coordinate the continuing access to relevant on-the-job learning for Peer Advisors and engage with in experience sharing with the larger UNCR learning community
- Perform other related duties as required.

Essential minimum qualifications and professional experience required
The ideal candidate will:
¿ Possess an academic degree in Psychology; Counselling; Information Technology; Sociology or another relevant field
¿ 6 years relevant experience with Undergraduate degree; or 5 years relevant experience with Graduate degree; or 4 years relevant experience with Doctorate degree
¿ Demonstrated experience with management and development/support of large intra-organizational networks/communities of practice, within one or more of the three functional areas covered by the network.
¿ Working experience on prevention and response to sexual harassment in the workplace and/or experience enhancing the psychosocial wellbeing of personnel in the workplace and ethics in the workplace and/or experience working with electronic platforms for Communities of Practice including database architecture and querying datasets.
¿ Be fluent in English, with advanced writing and editing skills. Additional languages are desirable, but not essential.
¿ Knowledge of UN (HCR) learning environment and institutional strategic priorities is an asset.
¿ Working knowledge of UN Duty of Care as it relates to high risk environments is an asset.
¿ Understanding of the humanitarian work environment and experience with continuous learning initiatives in the workplace is an asset.

Location
The successful candidate will be based with the team in Budapest, Hungary (or remote)

Conditions
The position is for seven months and the end date is 31 December 2021. It is a full-time role with working hours starting from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
