In India, Jhpiego works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments, providing technical assistance in the areas of family planning, maternal and child health, strengthening human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases. These programs are funded by USAID, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, David & Lucile Packard Foundation, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), MSD for Mothers and others.

Jhpiego is hiring for the position of Manager - Digital Health based at New Delhi for its USAID funded NISHTHA project for strengthening of comprehensive primary healthcare across 12 states. The position will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing, and rolling out digital health interventions under project NISHTHA and will report to Chief of Party (CoP), NISHTHA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with CoP, NISHTHA program at Jhpiego and team to help drive the digital health strategy work for comprehensive primary healthcare area
• Manage and lead all the digital health initiatives for the program starting from ideation, conceptualization, designing and implementation for strengthening primary care portfolio
• Provide program management and technological support to ICO and State team on conceptualizing and implementing digital health interventions through various modes such as mhealth, IVR, data analytics and advanced data sciences
• Represent program and Jhpiego to donors, partners and other stakeholders in establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships in digital health to maximize the program impact
• Maintain up to date knowledge of technologies, methodologies and technology standards and an understanding of constraints benefits of technologies
• Evaluate best practises around digital health interventions from international community and develop partnerships for integration of innovations in program interventions in India
• Work with monitoring & evaluation (M&E) team, clinical and program experts to ensure alignment, adoption and integration of technology for best outcomes
• Act as one-point of contact to monitor, develop and manage the digital health partnerships as subawards with NGOs, technical, technology agencies engaged under NISHTHA project.
• Work with agencies on work plan development for digital health projects within timelines as per the agreed deliverables and terms and conditions.
• Evaluate the work plan in collaboration with other departments/components under NISHTHA project and provide necessary feedback.
• Develop and implement the monitoring mechanisms for the technology partner subawards and contracts
• Support in knowledge management initiatives, documentation of best practices, lessons learnt, innovations from the models implemented, to overall NISHTHA knowledge management and documentation team
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time to ensure smooth functioning of the program and achieve the program goals
• Represent Jhpiego in webinars and conferences as a digital healthcare expert wherever required to highlight program interventions and its impact

Abilities/Skills:

• Ability to develop productive working relationships with other agencies, private partners, technology partners and other organizations including government counterparts for exploring and implementation of digital health innovations
• Excellent command in written and spoken English
• Skilled in communicating face-to-face with different stakeholders, and through various platforms
• Proven ability to evaluate effectiveness of and work with various data use and operational solutions and assist with identifying and evaluating technology solutions in public health
• Ability to analyze datasets, structure hypothesis and learning questions, and interpret insights and outcomes from the data into programmatic action.
• Hands on experience of designing and developing dashboards on open source platforms. Good understanding of cloud architecture, APIs and data management
• Excellent advocacy and negotiation skills
• Ability to work with a diverse technical team
• Ability to handle a variety of assignments under pressure of deadlines
• Proficiency in writing technical and programmatic documents such as reports, proposals, case studies etc.
• Proficiency in computers – Advance MS Office
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of his/her time

Qualifications/Knowledge and Experience:

• Any graduation and post-graduation with M. Tech/ MBA/ MPH from a reputed institution
• 7 – 10 years of experience across digital consulting, public health and development sector with including at least 3 years of managerial experience.
• Prior experience of managing at least one large scale digital health program is a must
• Up-to-date knowledge related to digital technologies, methodologies and technology standards and an understanding of the constraints and benefits of different technologies.
• Good knowledge of ML and AI (Deep Learning) is required, NLP will be an added advantage
• Familiarity with the Indian public health system, newer initiatives in health sector and relevant government policies/ strategies particularly National Health Mission, Ayushman Bharat and the National Digital Health Mission
• Experience of working with multi-stakeholder projects, managing NGOs, private sector partners, and national or state government stakeholders
