Communication and Brand Coordinator (m/f/d)

Main objective of the role:

Reporting to the Director of the Programme Delivery Asia & Americas department, the job holder plans and implements the mix of measures and media in dialogue with the brand team in Germany to increase brand awareness at Country and Regional levels. The job holder ensures stringent communication of CBM’s brand and develops a communication strategy within the region. S/he works in advisory role and in close coordination with the Country Offices, Initiatives and Project Partners.

We are looking for someone who will…
  • Proactively implement CBM International brand guidelines in countries/ regional communication.
  • Implement core concepts to strengthen CBM’s brand and increase awareness.
  • Encourage a positive and team-focused working environment by setting standards for good communication.
  • Collaborate and represent CBM in various online activities (social media, website, etc.).
  • Be attentive to market competition developments and derivation, and coordination of further measures and propose relevant follow up practice to management’s assessment.
  • Prepare organizational leadership and other designated spokespersons for media and public speaking opportunities.
  • Develop communication materials to enhance visibility of CBM in the region.
  • Lead and manage the CBM external newsletter with content from the region.
  • Ensure that communication materials follow CBM branding and messaging.
  • Train Country Offices’ and Project Partners’ staff on communication standards.
  • Act as in house editor for review of official external communication materials.
  • Write presentation documents and press releases for various target groups and ensure that CBM structures are feeding into CBM’s intranet with quality and timely information.

We are looking for someone who has…
  • A master’s degree in development communication, marketing, media or related area, or related training in advertising.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in development field with an INGO.
  • Strong experience in effective media relations, and ability and experience in establishing alliances with relevant institutions.
  • Experience in the conception and management of brand communication.
  • Working knowledge of printing and production processes in accessible multi-media formats.
  • Understanding of "Brand" and can transfer tools from brand management to the requirements of a traditional, dynamically developing NGO.
  • Ability to research, analyze data and provide recommendations.
  • Experience in web development and/or management an advantage.
  • Experience with use of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, Power point, Excel, Sharepoint. 
  • Proficiency in creative design/publishing packages such as Adobe Photoshop and other desktop publishing software.
  • Photography skills would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the region, when required.
  • Ability to integrate well in a multi-cultural and multi-disability environment.
  • Identification with Christian values and the mandate of the CBM.
  • Professional proficiency in English and German, Spanish and/or French would be advantageous.
