Main Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded technologist-to-be to join our Digital & Technology team.

You will identify, build partnerships, and help implement digital and technology initiatives for infrastructure sectors in Asia – which span the energy, transportation, water, digital infrastructure (data, telecoms), urban and social infrastructure, amongst others.

Knowledge Development

• Identify, analyze, and support implementation of digital and technology initiatives with clear commercial, financial, and social benefits.
• Publish reports on relevant emerging technologies and their impact on infrastructure sectors.

Partnerships and Business Development

• Co-develop and execute our technology company scouting, screening, and sourcing operating model in close alignment with key partners from our internal and external ecosystem.
• Drive engagement, building linkages and managing relationship with key stakeholders in the private and public sectors.
• Work collaboratively with different departments and facilitate working groups across a portfolio of asset companies to share best practices and learning.

Investment Support

• Jointly assess technologies and vendors, optimize technology costs, benchmark performance, and provide thought leadership.
• Provide support to selected transaction teams by providing technical insight during due diligence and identifying upside potential of existing assets.

Expected Deliverable(s):

• Assist the development and completion of AIIB Infratech Insight Platform, which is an open web portal consists of Infratech solutions applicable to different sectors.
• Become a co-author or a key contributor to at least 1-2 thematic research on how existing and emerging technologies can be applied in infrastructure sectors.
• Supported 1-2 applications of technologies in infrastructure projects.

Requirements:

• If you are currently enrolled in a Masters/MBA or PhD program, regardless of what you study, you are eligible.
• You can resonate with why finance and facilitate innovations and technology applications in infrastructure is important.
• You have a passion for technology and using them for bigger purposes.
• You should be a continuous, lateral, lifelong learner; you are proactive about staying on top of recent trends in technology and love embracing unknowns.
• You are aspiring to become a technologist, investor, or hustler one day, who will either design, invest or build technology solutions for better infrastructure sectors.
• You will demonstrate an ability to introduce new ideas (“not being afraid of thinking out of the box”), being entrepreneurial (“naturally take initiatives, do it and own it”) and obsessed with solving real problems (“give clients what they really need not what you imagine they need”).
• Previous exposure to either tech or infrastructure sectors is ideal.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
