Background
Duties and Responsibilities
- Integrate project M&E reporting with UNDP CO web-based corporate tools.
- Assist in developing monitoring plans for ensuring that activities/events are properly scheduled and carried out with Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
- Contribute to integration of monitoring, evaluation and research (MER approach) for strengthening of evidence generation of impact
- Lead data analysis using quantitative and qualitative methods to improve rigor in M&E systems
- Assist in evaluation missions, preparation of Terms of Reference, providing inputs in the design of M&E strategy, M&E tools and conducting evaluations.
- Design innovative evaluation and research approaches, collect evidence, establish causality and evidence impact.
- Be open to learning new M&E and analytical tools and apply them successfully in the project
- Assist in tracking the project process (e.g. field monitoring, visit to project sites) by which the intended outputs are being produced to fulfil the purpose of the project.
- Assist in the development of case studies/success stories and other communication items.
- Identify and document lessons learned/best practices including critical success factors and opportunities for improvement.
- Keep up to date on program changes, suggest adaptation strategies and innovative learning approaches for an efficient M&E system
- Support/Organize different events, meetings, planning, donor missions and other orientation sessions regarding project activities.
- Coordinate with other project teams for lessons learnt exercises
- Lead coordination with Reporting function of MAGP to ensure MEL inputs are accurate and updated
- Support documentation of project periodic reporting & assist in coordination with stakeholders and other implementing partners.
- Contribute to reporting and proofreading/compiling of other reports by the implementing partners.
- Assist in the development of outreach strategy and reaching out to beneficiaries and ensure close coordination with communication and program teams.
- Finalize M&E reports, analysis and presentations as per UNDP quality standards for dissemination
- Any other task assigned by MEL Manager

Required Skills and Experience
- Successful candidates will have solid experience monitoring donor-funded programs in complex environments with a wide variety of stakeholders, especially the government.
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience with a Master’s degree OR
- 4 years of proven work experience in the related field (preferably in INGOs/UN) with Bachelors degree.
- Knowledge of the development context in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
- Good knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation practices in accordance with USAID and DFID.
- Ability to travel across KP including merged districts.
