Purpose and Scope of Assignment:
The position will be part of UNHCR¿s PSP Denmark team and it formally reports to the PSP Officer. The tasks of the Fundraising Communication Associate (IG) will be the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
¿ Effectively manage our digital fundraising campaigns and contribute to develop new, compelling campaigns, driving the engagement and support of the Danish public;
¿ Develop content for print advertising and manage relationship with media suppliers;
¿ Help co-ordinate and develop content for fundraising communications and donor acquisition activities during emergency fundraising situations as fast and as effectively as possible and maintain accurate emergency response procedures;
¿ Contribute to the management of donor retention and donor development programme through a number of channels including email, telemarketing and sms including content development;
¿ Contribute to the development of UNHCR¿s presence in Denmark and manage our activities on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and other evolving channels. This includes content production ¿ and if possible image and video editing;
¿ Web content management by crafting content, checking copy, uploading and securing quality control on all platforms and devices;
¿ Help determine tactics to increase web traffic and engagement that meet the programs¿ objectives and conversions, including SEM and Search activities;
¿ Create and maintain online donation landing pages and their contents, including A/B split testing and other optimization measures;
¿ Contribute to our insights into supporter base through ongoing research and analysis, and to implementing segmentation strategies;
¿ Data management and securing accurate analysis of fundraising performance;
¿ Keep abreast of evolving technology trends and make recommendations on best practices for content, social media, social fundraising, and mobile marketing;
¿ Perform other related duties that may be required.

Monitoring and Progress Controls
¿ Contribute to securing that PSP Denmark¿s targets and objectives are reached within budgeted expenditures;
¿ Build strong fundraising campaigns using multiple channels to increase income and the number of one off and regular donations;
¿ Build a strong supporter experience, measured on the ability to acquire new donors and lead them onto a journey that builds a long-lasting relationship with UNHCR, expressed in maximized lifetime value and return on investment;
¿ Improve conversion rate on donation pages and optimization of user experience on webpage;
¿ Improved donor targeting and segmentation;
¿ Secure well-structed data and fundraising analyses.

Essential minimum qualifications and professional experience required

a. Education

¿ Secondary education with preferably a degree in Marketing/Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, IT-studies, or a related field.

b. Work Experience

¿ Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience with secondary education or minimum 2 years of relevant work experience with Undergraduate degree (equivalent of a Bachelor¿s);
¿ Relevant work experience in a marketing/fundraising or communications unit in a not-for-profit organization, an international organization, a large corporate, a marketing/fundraising consultancy firm or similar;
¿ Profound experience with digital campaigns, including digital acquisition and email marketing retention programmes;
¿ Expert expertise in fundraising/marketing including digital acquisition campaigns as well as customer/donor retention and customer/donor development;
¿ Experience in email marketing systems such as Selligent, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp or others;
¿ Proven project management experience;
¿ Experience with content production, including strong copy and proofreading;
¿ Work experience with Google Analytics and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Required

¿ Fluency in English and Danish;
¿ Proven ability to meet fundraising/marketing targets and drive results;
¿ Excellent communications skills, including strong copy writing, content production, proofreading skills and quality control;
¿ Strong analytical skills within digital marketing and knowledge of key digital measurement metrics;
¿ Knowledge of Google Analytics and excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook;
¿ Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-driven ¿ also under pressure;
¿ Attention to details, high accuracy and results-oriented;
¿ Strong interpersonal skills as a team player.

Desirable

¿ Knowledge about international humanitarian work and strong interest in the refugee cause;
¿ Experience with working in an international, multicultural environment;
¿ Experience with Salesforce;
¿ Experience with graphic design and video editing Location and Conditions
The successful candidate will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
This position is up to the end of the year with possibility of extension. It is a full-time role (40 hours per week).

Organizational Context
UNHCR is recruiting a Fundraising Communication Associate (IG) in Copenhagen, Denmark. 
Established in December 1950, UNHCR is mandated to lead and coordinate international action to protect and assist refugees. In more than seven decades, UNHCR has helped more than 70 million people restart their lives. Today, UNCHR staff in more than 130 countries continue to help and protect millions of refugees, returnees, internally displaced and stateless people.
UNHCR has relocated several key functions from our Headquarters in Geneva to UN City in Copenhagen, including UNHCR¿s Private Sector Partnership Service (PSP) supporting UNHCR¿s growing engagement with the private sector in all regions of the world. This is a high priority area as we face a historic refugee crisis and financial support and strong engagement of the general public and the private sector is more critical than ever before.
In 2018 the PSP Office covering Denmark was established. PSP Denmark is now doubling its size and is set to meet ambitious results in 2021 and beyond. One of our key priorities is to accelerate our Individual Giving programme, targeted at the general public to secure the support of inviduals. The aim is to generate both monthly and one-time financial donations from individiuals using various channels and methods including telemarketing, digital fundraising, emergency fundraising, with focus on strong donor loyality and lifetime value. Increased visibility and engagement from the Danish public is also essential.
To achieve this goal, PSP Denmark is hiring a Fundraising Communication Associate (IG) focusing on acquisition, campaigns and communication. Reporting directly to Head of Individual Giving, we are seeking a creative and dynamic campaign associate with a sharp pen who will contribute to our ambitious goals.
This exciting new function offers a unique opportunity to work with fundraising, public awareness and communication as part of a growing and dynamic small Danish team that works closely with regional and global experts. He/she will ccontribute to the overall development and implementation of the individual giving fundraising programme and the embedding of our digital transformation in line with UNHCR¿s global strategy.
