STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English language.

JOB PURPOSE

To perform specialized and/or standardized policy and programme-related processes and activities to support the effective delivery of assistance packages.  

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  1. Perform the implementation of school feeding programme (SFP) through the Home-Grown School Feeding integrated activities and process
  2. Perform regular coordination with relevant line-ministries in particular Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MOEYS) and Ministry of State Administration (MSA) and other stakeholders (local partners, agencies, NGOs and government institutions)  at National and Municipality level to updates and inform about the programme implementation including achievements, challenges, and recommendations. 
  3. Prepare a comprehensive monthly internal and joint work plan with counterpart for the programme implementation listed with propose activities, target, timeline, achievement include programme challenges.
  4. Support SF programme specific activities relate to baseline, capacity assessment, survey, capacity building, nutrition sensitive activities, joint monitoring with relevant Ministries at national and municipality level.
  5. Perform regular monitoring and join monitoring with relevant counterpart to monitor the progress of programme implementation and provide updates and report on timely manner.  
  6. Perform and support programme data consolidation, analysis, and preparation of reports on monthly and quarterly basis regarding programme status in order to support operational decision-making.
  7. Facilitate and support capacity building by organizing and facilitating training with the counterpart based on workplan prepared.
  8. Work and exchange information with internal counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities.
  9. Provide project management and/or general office support following established targets and WFP’s policies and procedures. 
  10. Act as a point of contact for resolution of general operational queries requesting assistance where necessary.

Emergency Programming Displays capacity to provide inputs into the development, implementation and realignment of high quality emergency programmes.
Strategic Policy Engagement w/Govt Understands and applies basic principles of engagement with government counterparts at the national or local level.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE

At least 5 years relevent experience as follow:

• facilitated communication with technical teams (i.e. nutrition, VAM, etc.).
• contributed to implementation of programmes.
• observed or assisted with policy discussions.
