The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is an operational arm of the United Nations, supporting the successful implementation of its partners' peacebuilding, humanitarian and development projects around the world. Mandated as a central resource of the United Nations, UNOPS provides sustainable project management, procurement and infrastructure services to a wide range of governments, donors and United Nations organizations.Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Country Director & Representative and the Head of Programme, and in close coordination with the Regional Office and the Partnerships Group, the partnerships Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing the partnership and programme development plan for the offices and countries managed by the Country Director.

A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Public Administration, International Development, Engineering, Political Science, Communications, International Relations, or other relevant fields.
A combination of Bachelor’s degree with an additional 2 years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the education requirements outlined above.
- At least 5 years of experience in partnerships, communications, business development, marketing, or other related fields, including demonstrated experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Developing and executing partnerships and/or alliances.
- Proposal writing.
- Projects and/or business development.
- Additionally, the following experiences are not required but are considered strong assets:
- Project and programme management experience.
- Establishing partnerships with UN agencies, international development organizations, governments, foundations, international NGOs or private sector organizations.
- Marketing and/or communications experience.
Full working knowledge of English and French is essential. Fluency in creole and/or spanish are an asset.

Contract type, level and duration
Contract type: Local Individual Contract Agreement (LICA) Regular/Monthly: This contract is a regular monthly contract, which requires ongoing services during the term of the contract and payments will be made at the end of each month.
Contract level: LICA 10 - This is a local position. Only nationals or legal residents of Haiti may be considered for evaluation
Contract duration: Open-Ended contract subject to good performance, availability of funds and organizational requirements

The UNOPS Haiti office supports international partners and the Haitian Government in their work to improve lives following the 2010 earthquake. UNOPS project managers and their local employees are helping to check the safety of damaged houses, build transitional shelters for homeless families, provide cleaner toilets for those living in camps, clear canals of debris to prevent floods, repair roads, and construct maternity centres and schools.
