Job Description:
The Associate Project Development Officer performs a variety of programme development support functionsatassociatelevelwithintheresponsibilityoftheMigrationDialoguesandCooperation(MDC) Directorate.
The AssociateProjectDevelopment Officersupportsthe development andmaintenance oftheproject development and donors’ engagement ONE space. S/he contributes to the implementation of project development related activities and the administration of the ONE space according to relevant programme development documentation, work plansand budgets, and in line with ICMPD´s rules and business processes.
The Associate Project Development Officer supports the coordination of activities related to the project development pipeline, resource mobilisation and donor support within MDC and for other ICMPD Directorates. S/he monitors and identifies business opportunities within donor’s strategies, relevant government counterparts, development and implementing agencies. The Associate Project Development Officer contributes to the formulation of substantive project developmentoutputsandcontentinresponsetodonor’sprogramming.S/hepreparesinputsto drafts of new initiatives and other substantive reports.
The Associate Project Development Officer works under the overall supervision of the Executive Advisor, MDC and in close collaboration with other members of the MDC Director’s Office team. S/he collaborates with relevant project teams in ICMPD for the implementation of administrative activities related to project development.
1Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Management and maintenance of the project development and donors’ engagement space: Contributetothetimelyaccomplishmentoftheoutputsintheassignedfieldofworkbyorganising, coordinating and implementing related activities.
Support daily screening, monitoring and pre-evaluating of funding opportunities, distributing relevant information to ICMPD staff to submit an application.

Contribute to preparation of substantive inputs to project and application processes. Provide support in planning and organisation of relevant events, meetings, workshops and other activities.
Draft inputs to project development correspondence inside and outside the organisation. Provide information to relevant ICMPD units on matters relevant to business development. 2. Project development administration and compliance:
ImplementadministrativeactivitiesandprocessesinaccordancewithICMPDrulesandestablished business processes.
Updateanddevelopmappingofpotentialpartnersandexpertsaswellasdonorcoordinationtools. Support identification of expert and service contracts.
Maintain project documentation electronically on the ONE space.
Develop and maintain a catalogue of direct cooperation with ICMPD MS including ongoing and planned projects.
Registration and maintenance of donor funding portals.
Support development and implementation of internal projects linked with project development and resource mobilisation (e.g. PMF), support management of experts in relation thereof. 3. Project development content:
Support the formulation of analytical and substantive project development inputs. Compile information and documentation and draft inputs.
Provide technical assistance to the drafting of project proposals e.g. expert search and outreach, conductingbackgroundresearch,drafting,collectingandpreparationofadministrativedocuments of proposals.
Prepare inputs to briefs, background papers, presentations, speeches relevant to resource mobilisation and project development.
Conduct data collection and preparation of ad hoc reports and documentation on project development pipeline, resource mobilisation and donor support.
Edit and proofread documents. Screen and respond to daily cooperation requests. Support in the dissemination of project content through various channels. Update project contacts database.
Key Results:
Project development activities in the areaofwork assigned organised and implemented according to work plans.
Qualitative contributions made to production of outputs in a timely manner. Contributionsmadeto theproductionofcontentdelivered intheassignedareaofworkinatimely and qualitative manner.
2 Timely support provided to coordination of implementation with donors, partners, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders.
Incumbent Profile:
A minimum of 1 year of position-relevant work experience in development of projects preferably in the field of migration.
Substantive knowledge of donors’ programming and resource mobilisation activities. Strong skills in MS applications. Experience with SAP is an asset.
Professional training in project cycle management is an asset.
Good analytical and drafting skills.
Good organisational skills.
Corporate Qualifications:
Experience working in an international context.
Proficiency in (verbal/written) English.
Master´s degree related to the area of work.
Compensation:
ICMPD offers an attractive compensation package. This position is classified at IP1 Grade with an annual net-base salary starting at EUR 35.484. Additional benefits include participation in the ICMPD Provident Fund, Health and Accident Insurance, six weeks’ annual leave and, where applicable, dependent’s and mobility allowances.
