Description of taskWithin the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Agribusiness Coordinator, the UNCV will:
- The Community field officer will be working to increased agriculture productivity of selected value chains (coffee, mandarin, areca nut, bamboo, albijia, pandanus and rambutan).
- In addition, the community field officer will be supporting organizational development and market access of local producers (rice and coffee value chains).
Activities
- Support implementing the project activities: workshops, nursery establishment, pruning, pest and diseases control, harvesting etc.
- Ensure best practices implementation along the plantation cycle.
- Organize farmers group to promote collective work and knowledge exchange ensuring women and youth participation while implementation.
- Provide the capacity building for farmers and agriculture staff related to production and marketing through each product specialist.
- Organizing cross visit of the producers to Indonesia and inside Timor-Leste with the objective to add more knowledge and experiences.
- Participate in all meetings upon request from partners or the government.
- Liaise with other institutions and local partners related to agroforestry, community forestry, and other value chains under the project
Market access:
- Support marketing plan and its implementation for local producers
- Support producers to promote local production at the national and international levels.
Other:
- Support the team on logistic activities.
- Provide report to supervisor and the government.

Required experience: Experience remark:- Experience working with local farmers to improve agriculture production is strong advantage.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages and knowledge of spreadsheets and database package and web-based management and accounting systems
- Knowledge of Atlas is a strong advantage
