M&E Officer (m/f/d), PHC-MCH and WASH Project - National position

Malteser International (MI) is working in Myanmar since 2001, and currently employs more than 350 national staff in Rakhine, Shan and Kayin states, where our work aims at ensuring communities have access to primary health care services. We also offer comprehensive WASH and disaster risk reduction/climate change adaptation solutions and provide relief after disasters. We strive to enable and empower the most vulnerable communities in marginalized areas through a participatory and sustainable approach.






In support of our work in Rakhine State, Myanmar, Malteser International (MI) is looking for a motivated M&E Officer (m/f/d), PHC-MCH and WASH Project (national position).

As a Monitoring and Evaluations (M&E) Officer, you will be responsible to support in timely implementation of all primary health care (PHC) - mother child health (MCH) and WASH activities in respective field. Also, you will assist the Project Manager in efficient project management for improved quality and achievement of the overall organizational target/objective.

Responsibilities:

  • Define or refine methodologies and tools for planning, monitoring, and reporting in line with MI’s requirements.
  • Conduct regular project monitoring and capture learning outcomes.
  • Monitor the timely and correct usage of the project monitoring tools by the project teams and ensure capacity-building where necessary.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of reports on the findings and lessons learned.
  • Support and organise KAP surveys, collection of success stories, and photos of activities
  • Ensure that all processes, methodologies and tools are gender, age and disability sensitive.
  • Maintain a “client-friendly” atmosphere that is non-judgemental and supportive of clients regardless of their background – with special attention for respect of medical confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Social Science, Statistics or Economics
  • At least 2 years work experience as an M&E Officer in UN/INGOs
  • Preferably, with work experience in rural places.

Conditions:

  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Duty Station: Maungdaw Townships, Rakhine State, Myanmar
  • Duration of contract: April of 2022 (extendable depending on donor approval)
  • Salary according to qualification and experience: 14th Month Salary, Location Specific Allowance & Health Insurance
