M&E Officer (m/f/d) , GF Tuberculosis and GF Malaria Project  - National position

Malteser International (MI) is working in Myanmar since 2001, and currently employs more than 350 national staff in Rakhine, Shan and Kayin states, where our work aims at ensuring communities have access to primary health care services. We also offer comprehensive WASH and disaster risk reduction/climate change adaptation solutions and provide relief after disasters. We strive to enable and empower the most vulnerable communities in marginalized areas through a participatory and sustainable approach.






In support of our work in Rakhine State, Myanmar, Malteser International (MI) is looking for a motivated M&E Officer (m/f/d) , GF TB and GF Malaria Project (national position). 

As a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer, you will be responsible to support the timely implementation of all Global Fund (GF) tuberculosis (TB) and GF Malaria activities in the respective field. Also, you will assist the Health Manager in the efficient project management for improved quality and achievement of the overall organizational target/objective.

Responsibilities:

  • Support all M&E initiatives including monitoring data quality, coordinate the progress and challenges of activities and contribution to staff capacity building as necessary.
  • Coordinate with TB and Malaria Officers for better project implementation.
  • Support Health Manager in creating frameworks and procedures regarding monitoring and evaluation of project activities as well as review and feedback on existing monitoring tools to identify potential modification.
  • Support Health Manager in developing standard operating procedures and guidelines for monitoring, reporting and data collection tools
  • Support Health Manager in implementing the key performance indicators (KPI) as well as monitoring them throughout the project duration and collection of success stories, and photos of activities for knowledge management.
  • Ensure coordination with project staffs in providing project information as required as well as suggest ways to facilitate data collection and improve data flow.
  • Ensure all the existing monitoring tools and data collection procedures are well organized and followed by project teams.
  • Perform regular field visits to ensure data quality collected by project teams and to verify the accuracy of reported data.

ESSENTIAL Qualifications:

  • Graduate and any medical degree / Health Assistant / Nursing Diploma.
  • Demonstrated experience in data collection and reporting.
  • At least 1 year of monitoring and evaluation experience in UN/INGOs.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Access)
  • Good organizational skills
  • Be active, able to work under pressure, good communication skills, work precisely in daily activities.

Conditions:

  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Duty Station: Maungdaw Townships, Rakhine State, Myanmar
  • Duration of contract: until December 2021 (extendable depending on donor approval)
  • Salary according to qualification and experience: 14th Month Salary, Location Specific Allowance & Health Insurance
