Digital Communication Assistant

Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the Regional Chief of Communication, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
• Social media community management;
• Create, edit and/or author communication content across major social accounts (with support from the communication team);
• Monitor and analyse engagement of social media platforms, including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, and make recommendations to improve reach;
• Oversight of social media campaigns;
• Social media coverage of events (e.g., campaigns, high level meetings);
• Participate in the UNICEF digital community of practice and share lessons learned and best practices that are applicable to other digital workers;
• Analyze comparators and make adjustments to activities based upon identified information and best practices;
• Provide a daily news update for the regional office and the country offices in the region;
• Organize and ‘’produce’ meetings on Microsoft Teams';
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of communication materials;
• Support website management.

Qualifications/Requirements Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent Education - Additional Comments:

Bachelor's degree in Communication related field (e.g. advertising, marketing)

Required experience: 60 Months Experience remark:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in related field of work to the assignment
  • Social media campaign development and exposure, preferably in a humanitarian or not-for-profit environment
  • Social media platforms in professional settings, including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube
  • Experience with graphic, photo and video design/editing
  • Writing, editing, and crafting content for social media
  • Analyzing and interpreting audience data from Google Analytics and Facebook insights.
Language skills:
  • Thai(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
  • English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
