Social Scientist

Are you a social scientist with expertise in generating insights that can help institutions adapt to the needs of their target audiences? Are you passionate about communication in the areas of food or science? Are you interested in working within the EU food safety system, to conduct social research that contributes to an open dialogue with society, including clear and impactful communication? The successful candidate will build effective relationships within and outside the organisation identifying where social sciences can be of added value for EFSA’s work, commissioning research and providing advice for informing communication and engagement activities, in line with the principles of an audience-first approach. The jobholder will work in the Communication, Engagement and Cooperation department. The mission of the department is to improve trust in EFSA by increasing the visibility of its work, protecting and enhancing its reputation, and fostering co-operation among partners and stakeholders at national, EU, and global levels.
