HCL Consultants Ltd. is an international development consultancy carrying out technical assistance projects in communities across the world. We are looking for an ambitious Finance and Missions Assistant to work in the Malta Headquarters of the European Asylum Support Office.
The position
The successful candidate will work on a secondment basis for the awarded contract for the Provision of Interim Services to the European Asylum Support Office (EASO). EASO is an EU Regulatory Agency headquartered in Malta whose mandate is to strengthen EU Member States’ practical cooperation on asylum, to support Member States whose asylum systems are under particular pressure and to enhance the implementation of the Common European Asylum System.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Head of Finance Sector and will be expected, amongst other, to perform some or all of the following tasks:
- Provide administrative and financial support within the Finance Sector
- Support mission orders and mission cost claims
- Provide support to clients on compliance with mission guide
- Deliver trainings and presentations on missions
- Support in upgrading Mission Management tool
- Management of the Missions mailboxes
- Document management as well as update the intranet page
- Perform other ad hoc tasks assigned by the Head of Finance
Requirements
- Post-secondary education attested by a diploma, or Secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education and appropriate professional experience of at least one year
- Professional experience in administrative and/or financial matters of at least one year
- Knowledge of financial and/or mission management systems would be desirable
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
- Proficient in the use of Office package (or equivalent) and in particular with Spreadsheets, Word documents, presentations
- Experience working in a team and in delivering to clients
Remuneration
The position falls in hierarchical Category III and the associated salary is €30,453.48 gross annually in twelve monthly installments.
