Duties and responsibilities
Generic responsibilities:
-Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
- Assist a range of support with the implementation of the Core Competency portfolio according to plan of action.
- Implements independently procedures and activities within own function or core competency as delegated.
- Responsible for organizing and delivery of tasks in line with priorities and standards.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the specialist area of work in which technical assistance and support is being provided, in order to be most effective in supporting the team.
- Use initiative in day to day problem solving in line with agreed procedures, priorities and standards for the area of work.
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
- Ensure proper filing of documents.
- Promote and share ideas for improvement in your area of expertise.
- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and among beneficiaries served by NRC.

Specific responsibilities:
• Keep records of all incentive labor working with the team with the description of
the activities conducted, details of the incentive labor.
• Ensure all the received materials are according to the requested specification and
quantities.
• Process stock requests for construction materials and tools and coordinate with
other unit’s engineers.
• Monitoring of stock levels for main items required by the shelter Engineering
teams and flagging low levels if needed.
• Managing the process of delivering and handing over all stock and tools to staff.
• Supporting other units whenever requested and needed, by preparing BOQs,
designs, and through the implementation phases.
• Managing the warehouses, and making sure that they follow the NRC logistic
handbook requirements (safety, stock cards, …etc.).
• Conduct regular inventory and physical count for the stock in all the workshop area
including the warehouses and responsible for updating the soft and hard data
sheets of stock cards for the workshop items matching the reports required on daily, weekly, monthly basis.

By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other
departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are
• Relevant core competency implementation staff
• Support teams, Finance, HR, Admin and Logistics
Qualifications
Professional Competencies:
•Vocational/Tawjihi degree or equivalent
•Years of Experience: 1
• Experience from working within technical expertise area in a humanitarian/ recovery
context.
• Knowledge and experience within a relevant administration, craft or technical field
and ideally a relevant vocational qualification.
• Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
• Some knowledge of English.

Contract period: to 31st December 2020 (Renewable based on funding & performance) 
Salary/benefits: 842 JD (subject to social security and Income tax)
