Background

 
NRC has been operating in Libya since 2018 with offices inTripoli and Benghazi. NRC is providing assistance to Libyan IDPs, returnees and host communities in Benghazi and Tripoli with potential expansion to adjacent districts. NRC Libya is working to deliver variety of programming across the following sectors: Shelter, WASH, and Education. In the course of 2019 options for expanding programming to support the migrant and refuge population will be developed.
Duties and responsibilities

Key Job Tasks and Responsibilities:


- Support in the design of data capture processes;
- Support PDM and PC in the supervision of data capture processes
to ensure they are implemented according to plans and agreed standards;
- Follow up with teams for updates on data entry and filing
- Validate data entered by project team under the supervision of the officer
- Maintain CC files, data bases, and other archives documenting project progress;
- Ensure team members are trained and familiar with the templates and tools to be used correctly --Maintain the CC specific portion of data capture, analysis, and warehousing platforms (e.g. Mobenzi and BOX) is well organized and accessible;
- Help organize and undertake surveys, FGDs, and questionnaires to monitor programme implementation and impact; ensure collation of results
- Ensure compliance with NRC data policies;
- Liaise with other units on areas of common responsibility;
- Any other relevant duties as requested
- Specific responsibilities To report daily/weekly progress to line manager
-Responsible for data entry for program
- To work closely with Field teams to ensure that the information from the field is able to be quickly transferred to database systems
- To undertake community/field visits with field staff when requested
- Any other tasks delegated by education coordinator or manager to support education staff in the field

  
Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Profile:
 
We are looking for a qualified candidate with a minimum of two years of experience with humanitarian response organizations in Libya. Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis and data management techniques . IT skills (knowledge of Excel essential, knowledge of Access or other database system preferred; knowledge of SPSS or other data analysis software a bonus) Understanding of key privacy and information management ethical concerns and ability to manage information management activities within ethical guidelines;  . Good command of English and Arabic, both written and verbal is required.
