JOB PURPOSE

Under the direct supervision of the Field Security Officer (Operation), the Business Support Staff will be responsible from the following duties:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
  • Filling all necessary documents, SRM, SOP, Security Measures, CONOPS, MSCR, De-confliction, and Government approval in appropriate manners;
  • Assist the LSAs by providing the necessary information when they are in liaise with local administration, security and law enforcement authorities, communities, UN/NGO security staff and other actors to facilitate access for safe programme delivery and to mitigate possible risks against staff and other resources;
  • Filling all minutes of meetings, including SMT, Security Cell, NGO Coordination meeting, internal meeting etc. and follow up the pending issues and the action matrix.
  • Assist in coordination, preparation and conduct of the field missions and including tracking of staff, and ensure all security measures are in place before the field missions have been conducted.
  • Assist the FSOs/LSAs in conducting regular security assessments in the area of responsibility to support safe and effective programme delivery and ensure all field missions reports have been filed and generate action matrix to follow up the recommendations in the reports.
  • Assist in implementation of all security risk management mitigating measures, including Minimum Operational Security Standards (MOSS), to support compliance at all times.
  • Assist in coordination, preparation and conduct of field missions including tracking of staff, and conduct regular security assessments in the area of responsibility to support safe and effective programme delivery.
  • Contribute to the update of emergency and contingency planning documentation including physical preparations and procedures to support preparedness for the crisis.
  • Assist in preparation of security assessment reports after field missions, to support security situation analysis and facilitate decision-making.
  • Ensure all information and files regarding the above recorded on Unit Driver/Team Work.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable is desirable.


Experience: Four or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream with experience in general administrative work.


Language: Fluency (level C) in English language. Fluency (level C) in Arabic language.


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Has applied knowledge of security operations  technical processes which must be adhered to in day to day work.
  • Has supported security operations efforts as directed.
  • Has supported in providing ad-hoc technical guidance to staff members.
