Organizational Context
HR Technology and Analytics Branch (HRMOI) is responsible for the development and implementation of the HR Technology strategy and Roadmap that enables efficient and effective HR business processes and activities while ensuring compliance with HR Policies and legislative requirements.


Our strategic priority is to create value for the Organization by supporting evidence-based decision making through workforce analytics, reducing administrative burden through automation and self-services, and making life at work better through digital technologies for awesome candidate and employee experience.
The Branch consists of three teams:
(1) HR Technology Strategy and Deployment;
(2) HR Systems Administration and Support;
(3) HR Reporting & Analytics.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):
Under the general supervision and guidance of the Team Leader of the HR Reporting & Analytics Work-stream, the Workforce Analyst CST will:
1. Prepare corporate HR statistical reports for WFP management.
2. Analyze HR data and respond to quantitative information requests received from HR and other WFP colleagues as well as external bodies, donors, member states and United Nations organizations.
3. Perform complex analysis on analysis on staffing and cross functional data, using robust statistical methodology, and applying supporting technologies such as R or/and Tableau.
4. Query data from HR information systems
5. Quality control staffing data extracted from various WFP corporate systems, SAP (WINGSII), Business Warehouse (BW), and PASport (Local Payroll).
6. Any other duties as required.


DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:

  • Reporting and analytics delivered to customer in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Statistical analysis is provided in support of projects.
  • Data quality is monitored, and stakeholders are informed.
  • Data assets and sources are updated in a timely and accurate manner.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
 

Education: University undergraduate or graduate with experience and training courses in one or more of the following disciplines: statistics and/or information technology or any other related fields.
 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of three years of relevant working experience. 
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst
  • Knowledge of HR data, time dependent data and workforce analytics is an asset.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience with statistical packages such as R (SAS, SPSS)
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel
  • Analytical mind and business acumen.
  • Ability to transform statistical information into concise reports.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as SAP BI/BO, visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) an asset.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work and deliver results within a highly complex organizational environment (i.e. with diverse team, matrix structure, highly evolving operational context and staff working hardship locations).
  • An understanding of working with different cultures.

 

Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English.
