POSTING TITLE: Consultant for Tissue Culture Lab (1 position for consultant) DEPARTMENT: CIP – India Regional Office

WORK LOCATION: Karnataka, India

CLOSING DATE: July 10, 2020

The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking a proactive and responsible consultant with high level of commitment and expertise to assist in Tissue culture lab and production of potato Apical cuttings under the project - Establishment of Centre for Research & Development on Potato and Sweet potato under UHS- Bagalkot in collaboration with International Potato Centre” (the Project).

This consultant will be based in Karnataka and coordinate directly with the Project Coordinator. Expected duration and conditions:

• This consultancy contract is for 8 months with the possibility of renewal. • The payment is a fixed and consolidated fee.

• The venue for Interview will be informed only to the shortlisted candidates. Deliverables:

- Assistance and maintenance of Tissue culture lab

- Maintenance of poly house

- Production of cuttings from TC plants

Qualifications/special skills

- Experience of working in Tissue culture lab

- Experience in production of apical cuttings

- Nursery management techniques

- Any graduation
