Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 25 years old. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the UNDP Stabilisation Advisor, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  • Set up M&E/Reporting Systems against each outcome of the Facility. The Specialist will set up templates and train facility staff in using them
  • Establish/set up M&E indicators, reporting templates and systems
  • Train and sensitize facility staff on usage and application
  • Liaise with RSCA to ensure we are reporting against common outcomes and results
  • Prepare reports and updates as required to CTA (Chief Technical Adviser)
Qualifications/Requirements Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent Education - Additional Comments:

Bachelor or master’s degree in social science or related field,

Required experience: 36 Months Experience remark:
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation
  • Familiarity with the Africa region is an asset
  • Good interpersonal capabilities.
  • High flexibility and adaptation capacities
Language skills:
  • French(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
  • English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
Area of expertise: Monitoring and evaluation, Community participation and development, Gender equality and the advancement of women Area of expertise details:
  • Good organizational skills, proven experience in coordinating with national stakeholders and expert teams, organizing multi-stakeholder consultation processes, gathering documentation of results.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills of baseline documentation gathering, organization and communication to support experts.
  • Good understating of national policy and institutional structures, and ability to advice on institutional capacities and relations.
  • Able to support, motivate and liaise effectively with communities and community groups.
  • Sound cross-cultural, gender-awareness, interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Proven ability and experience in workshop facilitation.
