Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.

Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of deputy representative or his/her designated mandated representatives, the UN volunteer C4D specialist will provide technical and operational support for developing a systematic, planned and evidence-based strategy and process for C4D as an integral part of programme development planning and implementation, especially linking to ongoing community engagement through NSA Kenno ( "We can do it " in Local language.

Through communication and engagement as well as the empowerment and participation of stakeholders, communities, children, civil society partners, and government counterparts, s/he promotes measurable behavioural and social change/mobilization. this subsequently contributes to the achievement of sustainable and concretes results in improving children's rights, survival and wellbeing in the country.

Qualifications/Requirements Required degree level: Master degree or equivalent Education - Additional Comments:

an advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: Social and behavioural science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, adult education, or another relevant technical field.

Required experience: 48 Months Experience remark:

4 years of professional experience in the planning and management of social and behaviour change communication programmes, with practical experience in the adaptation and application of communication planning processes to specific programmes

Knowledge and experience in the area of child protection including violence against children VAC is an asset

Knowledge of current developments in the fields of social and behaviour change communication and community engagement

relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset

Language skills:
  • English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
