Vacancy Background
Reporting directly to the Head of Civil Society Initiatives (CSI) of the Iraq Program, this position will help advance the Iraq program’s strategic engagement with relevant Iraqi civil society actors and families of the missing, in close collaboration with other divisions of the Program.
Responsibilities
- Identifying coordination or implementing partners, particularly in the Iraqi civil society, to achieve defined objectives and targets in data collection, and in the provision of support to families of the missing and related program objectives
- Supporting the supervisor on visibility-increasing and public engagement efforts
- Assisting in the translation of tools, materials and collected data, and providing interpretation support to ICMP's non-Arabic speaker during events and meetings
- Ensuring effective implementation of ICMP’s program in accordance with the defined results framework and associated work plans
- Assisting the Head of Civil Society Initiatives with the small grants program
- Preparing program proposals to multilateral and bilateral donors
- When needed, support the Head of Civil Society in designing and conducting data collection efforts, Needs Assessments, Action Action Reviews, or other types of field research (utilizing participatory and consultative approaches), to aid mission analysis and reporting
- Monitoring contextual developments in Iraq to identify threats and opportunities to ICMP’s objectives
- Contributing to the preparation of relevant external and internal reports and correspondence
- Performing other related duties.
