1.      Organizational Context

    

 

a. Organizational Setting

 

The post of ERP Integrated Solutions Manager is located in the AIMS Enterprise Resource Planning Team of the Enterprise Solutions Division, Department of Program Planning and Finance, Administration and Management Sector.

The objective of the Enterprise Solutions Division is the continuous development and on-going support of IT solutions pertinent to Enterprise Resource Planning.

 

 

b. Purpose Statement

 

The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of operational support, enhancement and maintenance of the Organization’s enterprise resource planning applications (Administrative Integrated Management System - AIMS), which includes PeopleSoft HCM, Finance, Procure-to-pay, Hyperion Planning and Budgeting, Oracle Business Intelligence, Taleo Recruitment and other custom applications.

 

 

c. Reporting Lines

 

The incumbent works under the supervision of the ERP Integrated Solutions Manager.

 

 

2.      Duties and Responsibilities

   

 

The incumbent will perform the following principal duties\:

   

 

a.   Consult with business users to gather and analyze business requirements by applying appropriate techniques; conduct follow-up process reviews and design workshops; specify and agree solutions; test new or modified processes to ensure consistency and adherence to business objectives;

    

 

b.   Regularly review operational issues and new software versions to identify opportunities for simplifying, streamlining and enhancing processes and systems; recommend options for consideration;

   

 

c.   Actively contribute to the enhancement of solutions by participating in all phases of business process change and enhancement projects, from analysis of stakeholder objectives to the release into operational use;

    

 

d.   Organize and validate the work of external resources, as and when required, and ensure that the work carried out is of acceptable quality and is in line with business objectives;

    

 

e.   Produce and regularly update the documentation relating to ERP solutions in order to keep the ESD knowledge base current;

    

 

f.    Liaise with IT focal points in other areas and with subject matter experts to ensure solutions are maintained and enhanced in accordance with established software development guidelines and standards;

    

 

g.   Provide service orientated support for the ERP applications that fall within the responsibility of the team;

    

 

h.   Help establish and continually mature ITIL based processes, thereby helping ESD to achieve ISO/IEC 20000 certification;

    

 

i.    Perform other duties as necessary.

    

 

3.      Requirements

 

 

Education (Essential)

 

First-level university degree in computer science, information technology, business administration or a related discipline.

  

 

Education (Desirable)

 

ITIL and / or project management certification such as PRINCE2.

    

 

Experience (Essential)

 

At least six years relevant professional experience, which includes several or all of the following areas\: functional design, requirements specification, software development, user acceptance testing, software maintenance, documentation standards, change management and training.

Substantial hands-on experience in a functional PeopleSoft ERP role.

Several years of work experience in one of the following PeopleSoft domains\: PeopleSoft HCM, Payroll, PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft Update Manager, with some knowledge of the other domains.

    

 

Experience (Desirable)

 

Working experience in implementation or support of Cloud based ERP applications.

Experience working in the public sector.

   

 

Language (Essential)

 

Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.

    

 

Language (Desirable)

 

Knowledge of French.

ERP business process expertise in relation to at least one of the following areas\: Human Resource Management, Payroll, Recruitment, Financials, Commitment Control and Procurement.

Job Related Competencies (Desirable)

 

Knowledge of financial and / or HR business processes applied by the United Nations.

SQL and PeopleTools skills.

Annual salary\:

   

 

Total annual salary consists of a net annual salary (net of taxes and before medical insurance and pension fund deductions) in US dollars and a post adjustment.  Please note that this estimate is for information only. The post adjustment multiplier (cost of living allowance) is variable and subject to change (increase or decrease) without notice. The figures quoted below are based on the January 2020 rate of 77.4%.

Temporary appointments are renewable, subject to continuing needs, availability of budget and satisfactory performance with a maximum cumulative length of two years.
