DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for over a decade, running a combination of emergency, livelihood, protection and advocacy programmes through Country Offices (COs) in Algeria, Libya/Tunisia, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey with a Regional Office (RO) in Amman. DRC has 17 offices and approximately one thousand staff members across the MENA region. Following an internal HQ restructuring, from 1st January 2018 the region is focusing on the Middle East, hence Algeria, Tunisia and Libya will transition to a new region during the course of 2018, while Yemen will join the Middle East region.

Responsibilities:

  • Sweep the floors and stairs every morning (taking care not to damage electrical equipment on the floor such as UPS, electrical wire etc.) in Office & GH.
  • Wash the floors, stairs, and other areas thoroughly at least twice a week.
  • Dust the desks, walls and cupboards every day (taking care not to damage office equipment on the dusted areas);
  • Clean the office sinks, toilets, and wash rooms once a day.
  • Clear and dispose of the rubbish from the office at least once a day in office & GH.
  • Keep the kitchen clean at all times, Cups, dishes…etc. and including cleaning the inside of the fridge once per week in the office & GH.
  • Maintain the garden areas around in the office.
  • Inform the line manager of any repairs or replacements required of maintenance equipment;
  • Prepare lunch for employees.
  • Any other related duty assigned by the line manager.

Experience and technical competent:

  • Relevant experience in cooking and cleaning position.

Languages:

  • Arabic
  • Turkman

We offer
Contract length: 6 months (with the possibility of extension)
Salary Band: K
Start date: March  1st, 2020.
