As Young Graduate Trainee, you will perform your duties as part of Management and Control Office of Downstream Business Applications Department.
You engage in continuously look for innovative and new ways to extract insights from the large volumes of data aimed to the delivery people, plant and profit impact benefits of space product and services.
As a data scientist, you will be exploiting widely accessible databases and social media information, you will elaborate analysis from quantitative data with statistical software (e.g. R, Python, Tableau) by using:
- Machine Learning Methods: development of predictive models for decision support (supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, econometrics, forecasting, quantitative diagnosis, etc.)
- Operations Research Methods: assistance in the design and implementation of constrained optimization solutions and simulation models.
- Big Data Processing Methods: high-performance large data processing of both structured and unstructured datasets.
- Create data and information sources: augment and update information by developing surveys and design communication plans to engage companies, investors and other institutions.
You should have just completed, or be in the final year of a university course at Master's level (or equivalent) in a technical or scientific discipline, preferably in combination with an economics or business discipline.
You should have good analytical and communication skills and should be able to work in a multi-cultural environment in an autonomous manner and as part of a team. Good experience and skills in Office automation tools, Social Media, analysis software (R, Python, Tableau…) and databases (e.g. Sharepoint, SQL…) will be considered as an asset.
The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
You should demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
