Our team and mission

The GNSS Regional Augmentation System Division is responsible for the development of the EGNOS system and its qualification, in its role as Design and Procurement Agent, under the programme management of the European GNSS Agency (GSA). Versions 2.4.2 and 3 of the system are currenlty under procurement under Phase CD.

The Division is also managing  a number of research & development activities under the European GNSS Evolutions, H2020 Infrastructure and NAVISP programmes.

The System Engineering Section of the Division is managing the following work lines:

  • EGNOS evolutions
  • EGNOS performance and applications
  • EGNOS industrial simulation and analysis tools.
  • International and standardisation activities
  • Space segment
  • EGNOS communication & education

Field(s) of activity

As a YGT, you will be responsible for providing support to performance and system engineering-related activities within this Division, by:

  • performing system engineering analyses based on simulations;
  • supporting the installation/testing and critical assessment of EGNOS system performance tools;
  • supporting the system engineering requirements management processes;
  • producing technical documents;
  • supporting the review of industry performance-related technical documents;
  • supporting the review of documentation for other activities managed or supported by the Division;
  • regular internal reporting on system performance;
  • supporting performance investigation activities.

You should have just completed, or be in the final year of a university course at Master's level (or equivalent) in a technical or scientific discipline.

Additional requirements

You should have “hands-on” experience in using analysis tools and problem solving.

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset. 

You should demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
