Head of Project Multi-Actor Partnerships*

in Phnom Penh

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of two years. There are good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

As Head of Project Multi-Actor Partnerships you will manage and implement a complex regional project on the basis of specified directives in terms of content, schedule and budget. The project aims at the establishment of new participatory dialogue structures and the strengthening of existing ones within the framework of multi-actor partnerships which contribute to coordinated decision-making processes of the relevant actors in the rubber sector in Myanmar, Cambodia and Thailand. You will be responsible for the operative coordination, planning and implementation of the project and the appropriate use of funds.

Your responsibilities

  • Coordination of partners and activities of the consortium to ensure the overall interaction of the various project components during program implementation
  • Leading/guiding the project team with regional functions/at regional level
  • Agreement with the consortium members and partners on suitable steering instruments and ensuring their adaptation/implementation
  • Coordination of MEAL activities and organisation of the systematic collection, processing and analysis of data/information according to project documentation and agreed results
  • Responsibility for the overall donor communication and for the adjustment/modification of processes
  • Strengthening dialogue structures and use synergies between the different project countries in cooperation with the Rubber Supply Chain Expert on regional/international level to proactively support cross-learning approaches
  • Ensuring technical and financial reporting to donors in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Ensuring the overall compliance between the applied steps and Welthungerhilfe's standard operating procedures
  • Acting as spokesperson/Representation of the project at regional & international level in coordination with the Rubber Supply Chain Expert

Your profile

  • University or polytechnic degree in a relevant field like Business Administration, Economics, Management, International Development or Agriculture
  • A minimum of 5 years previous professional project and leadership experience for international (aid) organisations in the sector of Food Security, Livelihoods or rural development
  • Excellent coordination and organisational skills, including ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent team building and communication skills
  • A high level of mental and physical resilience and readiness to travel to areas with volatile local conditions
  • Very good command of spoken and written English, German language skills will be an asset
